6 GPU Ethereum Mining Rig Guide / Low Budget

How To Build Cheap Ethereum Mining Rig Guide:

Ethereum mining are profitable these days many people are using ethereum for mining but there is some huge investment on start up, so i decide to make a guide about cheap ethereum mining rig with less budget. Once this rig is fully assembled and configure properly, it is capable of generating around 9,000$ yearly.

6 GPU Ethereum Mining Rig Guide

1- Motherboard:

We need 6 GPU supported motherboard for this mining rig, So we are using AsRock H81 Pro BTC Motherboard because this board have capability to run 6 GPU's. This is cheap and best motherboard for ethereum mining rig, It will cost you around 200$. You can get from any computer store or online from here.

2- Processor (CPU):

You also need processor to boot your system without this you cant boot your system. So as we know we are using AsRock H81 Pro BTC Motherboard with this motherboard i will recommend you to buy Intel Celeron G1840 Processor this will cost 59$ something, its cheap and you will easily found on google. Also you can buy from here.

3- Graphics Cards:

We are using 6 graphics card in this guide but it is totally up to you how much graphics card you want to use. We are using Nvidia GeForce 1070 x6 graphics cards, it is consumes less electricity and they will produce 30 mh/s of mining speed. It will cost you around 400$ - 500$ each graphics card, you will get from here.

4- Power Supply:

For Power Supply, I will recomment you atleast 1200W power supply for 6 GPU rig so we use 1200W Shark Power Supply. You can get this power supply very cheap and working nicely. This power supply is 80 Plus platinum Rated, offers 1200W of continuous power. It's the best choice to power up your ethereum mining rig. It will cost you around 116$, You will get from here.

5- Ram:

We need just 4 GB Ram, its enough for mining rig. So we use Kingston 4 GB Ram, It will cost you around 32$ something, you can get from here.

6- Hard Drive:

We have just installed operating system and some softwares for mining so I will recommend you 120 GB it's enough for ethereum mining rig, so we use SanDisk Solid Sate Drive 120GB, it will cost you around 60$. You will get from here.

7- Powered Riser Cable:

This is used to connect graphics card to the motherboard. It will cost you 7$ something, so we use DN Powered Riser Cable x6, This will helps for more efficient cooling and increasing the life of the cards, as well as possibly running at higher speeds, you can get from here.

8- Case (optional):

I will recommend you to build your own case rather than purchasing from someone. If you still want to buy, so visit here.

List of hardware's we used for ethereum mining rig:

Motherboard: AsRock H81 Pro BTC  Motherboard / 200$

Processor (CPU): Intel Celeron G1840 Processor / 59$

Graphics cards: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070  / 400$ x6 = 2400$

Power Supply: 1200W Shark Power Supply/ 116$

Riser Cable: DN Powered Riser Cable 16X PCI-E PCI-Express / 7$ x6

Mining Rig Frame:

Total investment cost for building ethereum mining rig = 2920$
This is estimated amount for main hardware's! May be it will cost you some more money.

Total Profit From RIG:

GPU * 6 = 180 mh/s (each 30 mh/s mining speed)
Weekly Earning: 202.59$  ||  Electricity Cost: 13$  ||  Weekly Profits: 188$
Monthly Earning: 868.24$  ||  Electricity Cost: 58$  ||  Monthly Profits: 809$
Yearly Earning: 10,563$  ||  Electricity Cost: 709$  ||  Yearly Profits: 9,854$

That's it, total profit generating after year was $9,854 and we have only invested 2,920$ for building cheap ethereum mining rig. This is estimated earning amount, mining hardware prices and ethereum price are change time by time!

  1. As far as I can see AsRock Z97 Anniversary motherboard has 4 PCIE slots and 2 PCI(!) slots. So you can use only 4 Radeon RX 480 graphics cards. Or not?

  13. Does the rx580 work for this build? https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-AORUS-Radeon-Graphic-GV-RX580AORUS-8GD/dp/B06Y46X4L9/

    I read that it’s more efficient and more hash rate but I want to make sure it will work..
    Thank you!

  14. I will not recommend RX 580 At that moment, it consumes more power and have some driver issues. By the ways Rx 480 and Rx 580 produces same Hash rate.
